The highly trained and experienced Management Team has relevant industry experience spanning over three (3) decades with verifiable track records in the air transport industry and comprises:
Mr. Bakary Nyassi
Managing Partner
Mr. Bakary Nyassi is a Gambian trained as an Aircraft Dispatcher and also holds Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics & Economics and Master of Business Administration in International Aviation Management. He previously served as Director of Operations and Managing Director of Gambia International Airlines Ltd from 2002 to 2016. Mr. Nyassi was amongst the founding fathers of Mid Africa Aviation Company Limited leading the airline through the business development phase right through to AOC certification and successful launch of flight operations. Mr. Nyassi brings over 2 decades of relevant airline business experience to the Crossbreed team.
Captain Buba S. Jammeh
Managing Partner
Captain Buba S. Jammeh is a Gambian airline captain with over 20 years’ experience in the industry. Capt Jammeh has extensive flying experience having flown the Boeing 737, MacDonald Douglass-80 (MD-80) and Airbus 320 aircraft families. Captain Jammeh worked with various airlines in both the sub-region and beyond including having served out of Afghanistan for over 2 years. A trained Aircraft Dispatcher and MSc Degree holder in Air Safety Management, Captain Jammeh also backs over 16 years’ experience as an Aviation Safety Inspector with the Gambia Civil Aviation Authority in the area of Flight Operations and Personnel Licensing. Having served as the Deputy Managing Director of Mid Africa Aviation Company, Captain Jammeh brings that balance of regulatory and industry experience to the Crossbreed team.
Mrs. Euriza Lopes Carrilho
Lead Consultant-Business Development
Mrs. Euriza L. Carrilho is a Cape Verdean with a BSc in Marketing. Mrs. Carrilho brings over 3 decades of relevant airline business experience served mostly at the executive level with the national carrier of Cape Verde; TACV Cabo Verde Airlines. At one time, Mrs. Carrilho served as Adviser to the Chairman of the Committee for the Establishment of a New Ground Handling Company in Cape Verde and later Ground Operations Director of Cabo Verde Handling. Mrs. Carrilho also served as Commercial Director and Acting CEO of TACV airlines before joining a start-up airline Halcyonair Cabo Verde Airways. Having served as commercial director for TACV Airlines and Mid Africa Aviation, Mrs Carrilho brings extensive experience in aviation management and contract negotiations to the Crossbreed team.
Mr. Moses Jenkins
Senior Partner
Moses has more than 18 years working experience in Public Procurement and Project Management. He has an MSc Degree on Procurement Management and an MBA on Leadership and a full Member of CIPS UK. Previous work experience include: Country Manager for AECOM lead Delivering Procurement Services for Aid (DPSA) in Ghana and Sierra Leone. Procurement Consultant for WB funded Afghanistan Reconstruction and Development Services (ARDS) and Financial Sector Rapid Response Project (FSRRP) at the Central Bank of Afghanistan. Procurement Specialist for Crown Agent in South Sudan and Kenya; First Procurement Manager at the National Aids Secretariat in the Gambia. Moses has extensive procurement and contract management experience for Goods, Civil Works; Consulting and Non-Consulting Services contracts and has demonstrate the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior management, government representatives, Donors etc. He is conversant with and has worked in projects that are funded by the AfDB, ADB, DFID; EU; Global Fund; IDB, WB and have working experience in Afghanistan; Gambia; Ghana; Nigeria; Kenya; Sierra Leone; Somalia and South Sudan.
